Another fantastic week here in Colorado! It went by so fast, but that seems to be the theme now. The weeks go by way faster than I want them to!
So where to start....
On Tuesday we had some meetings I think. Oh wait I remember! We had a meeting in the morning, and when we went out to our car after the meeting, we had a flat tire! So we had to take it in and get the tire fixed. While we were waiting, we walked over to Lowe's and looked at paint colors and appliances because what else are we going to do? It was a blast actually.
On Wednesday we had zone meeting and I gave a training about rules. It's funny because like the last two zone meetings I've had to give training at, they've been on obedience and rules. I think the zone
thinks I'm the rule nazi or something. But Sister P and I sang a rousing rendition of "Ye Elders of Israel" with some elders from our zone and it was fun!
After zone meeting, we went on exchanges with the Stetson Creek sisters and I got to be with Hermana Jeffries again! That was a blast!! We had an incredible lesson about the temple with a family that night. The spirit was so strong and I felt so grateful to get to share the message of the temple and the love Heavenly Father has for us with that family.
On Saturday we got to do our first shift at the temple open house!!! It was the construction worker day, so all of the people that helped the temple be built in some way got to go through and see the temple.
I was there from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and I was exhausted! We don't really get breaks and we can't eat or drink and we are on our feet all day, so sister P and I joke that it's the perfect diet plan haha. A
bunch of people from the ward have told us they are going to sneak us food in the tent so that we don't die! But it's not bad at all. I'm having too much fun to even think about that stuff! And I got to learn so many cool facts about the building of the temple.
Yesterday was awesome! Cindy came to church again and she loved it! She is so excited to keep learning more and she told us she plans on coming to church every week!! Yesterday afternoon was pretty much one of the coolest days of my mission. We received training from Wilford Andersen of the 70 for the temple open house. He taught us about being spiritually prepared and using the Holy Ghost always. After, he took us on a tour of the Fort Collins temple and we were able to record some very special teaching and counsel from him. It was incredible.
Gil is still doing really good. He came with us to a baptism on Saturday and is getting excited for his baptism! It's looking good for him to be baptized on Saturday! He hasn't been feeling very good lately
though, so hopefully he stays healthy and strong for his baptism on Saturday!
This week I was really thinking about how we learn and grow here on earth. More specifically about how our purpose here is to learn about God and draw closer to Him. I felt very strongly that if we are
feeling distanced from God, and that He might not be listening or paying attention to us, that it is because either we are seeking Him, or we aren't looking and listening to Him with our spiritual eyes and ears. I know that the only one who can hinder my spiritual progression towards God is myself! I cannot blame someone else for that. Of course we all go through hard times, but we are never abandoned and left alone. Our loving Heavenly Father and Savior are always there for us. I know that is true.
I miss you all and love you so much! I am so grateful for the love and support I receive from you! Hope you have an incredible week!!
Sister Hoffman, Hermana Jeffries and us!

All of the sister serving in Colorado! We couldn't fit all of the
sisters in the mission, so Wyoming took their own picture.
