So this week has been so so so so so wonderful! My dreams came true and Sister Pattillo is now my companion! I have wanted to be her companion for my whole mission and now it's finally happened! We are having such a blast here in Loveland!
Monday was crazy! I said goodbye to Sister Tanner which was so sad! I got an email from her today though and she is alive and well in Canada which is good! But I miss her so much! I was temporary companion with Hermana Mella-Caro and she is just a blast. We had so much fun! She is from Canada as well and has never had a slurpee before.... So since it was 7/11 on Monday, we stopped at 7/11 and got her one! She loved it.
Tuesday was also insane! I had no clue that STL's had so much work to do during transfers! I was running back and forth from Loveland to Windsor picking up sisters and dropping them off so that everyone had a companion and got to where then needed to be. And then I picked up sister P and that was a blast and got to talk with my MTC comp Sister Mickelsen!!!! She is training and in my district and I am her STL! So basically I am pumped!!!!
We had zone meeting on Thursday and Sister P and I had to prepare a training on obedience and the doctrine of Christ and it went really great so that was exciting! We saw lots and lots of people this week and had some amazing lessons. I just love being a missionary so much and I am so grateful that I get to serve here!
And then one of my favorite members from the ward gave me a whole bag of Otter Pops because I told her how much I love them! And anyone who knows me knows how much I love my Otter Pops. It was the greatest day ever.
Okay so Sister P is crazy. We were trying to contact some less actives on Saturday, and as we were walking up to the door, I noticed I snake on the side of their house. Well it looked fake to me and I thought, maybe they're just big into displaying animals they've killed and they decided to put a snake here to freak people out. Well I told that to Sister P and we walked closer to look at it. When we got closer, the snake moved really quick towards us and bit Sister Pattillo's ankle! We didn't know what kind of snake it was so we had to rush her to the hospital. We got there and determined it was not poisonous and that she would live. Just kidding, it just did that creepy snake tongue flick-y thing. But we still weren't convinced. So THEN Sister P wanted to touch it!!!! She touched the tail once and it flinched a little bit like it was saying, "homegirl, don't touch me. I am a creepy scary snake." And THEN she decided to touch it again! This time the snake jumped from the wall to strike at her. Luckily, it didn't bite her or touch her and we ran away screaming. Don't worry, we got it all on video.
Well I hope everyone is having such a wonderful week and doing so great! I miss you all and love you so much! Remember how much your Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ love you!!
Love, Sister Hooper
PS - if anyone knows what kind of snake this is, let us know!
I got to see the temple lots this week! So of course I took pictures every time.
