THE TIME IS GOING BY WAY TOO FAST!! This week was kind of weird if I'm being honest here....
Monday was so much fun. We had our district P day which means it was a full day of Us and the elders in our district being weird in Fort Collins. We started our p day off by making brunch together at the church. The elders were an hour late.... not surprising at all. Then we went into Fort Collins to go bowling. That was truly a sight. In case anyone was wondering, bowling in a dress is a challenge, but totally possible. I dominated at bowling with an incredible score of 35. The elders kept trying to give me bowling tips and for some reason they didn't quite understand that I didn't care whether or not I bowled well. After bowling, we went to downtown Fort Collins and explored the fun little shops. Elder Coleman suggested that we go to this place called Nuance Chocolate where they make chocolates from all over the world! We got to taste a bunch of them and it was so fun! It was a good day!
Tuesday and Wednesday were weird days because NO ONE WAS HOME AND IT WAS ACTUALLY INFURIATING!!!! We tried so many people and knocked on so many doors and no one wanted to talk to us or let us in. It was rough.
Friday I had my departing interview with President McMurray and that was so bittersweet. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that it's all coming to an end. President McMurray gave me lots of tips for returning home and staying strong and active through the transition. He then gave me lots of advice for dating and marriage which was weird. I just love this mission and I love the McMurrays so much!
On Friday we also had the opportunity to do some service cleaning up a ladies yard. Our district leader called us and the other elders in to help when they realized there was no way they could do it on their own. We helped her sweep off her porch, clean up leaves and pine needles, and moved things to her garage. But we also did one of the most truly disgusting things of my life. Next to her house she had a pile of garbage that had been there for who knows how long. We had to literally dive in it and carry it all out. I don't know what we touched or smelled or experienced, but it was nasty. We then had to try to take the garbage to the dump and when we got there, they told us they had just closed 30 minutes earlier. So we had driven rank garbage, 30 minutes away, while smelling like rank garbage, just to be told to drive it all the way back. But it was so much fun to serve and help that lady!!! I love serving!!!
Saturday we tracted all day and people were either not home or rude. We were joking with each other about how our smiles will melt people's hatred towards us away, when this guy opens the doors and very meanly says, "We don't accept solicitors here. And there aren't supposed to be solicitors in Severance." He slammed the door and I turned to Sister M and said to her "Well, my dazzling smile sure didn't melt his hatred away." We got a good laugh out of that and kept going. We tracted into this awesome guy named Scott! He talked with us for like 30 minutes about so many different things! He first brought up the temple and we were able to show him the pictures of the inside of the Fort Collins temple and the talk about what we do in temples and why. Then we talked about the Book of Mormon, baptism, Joseph Smith and so much more! He was way accepting of all of it and kept talking about how cool that was. He took a Book of Mormon and said we can come back next weekend and talk to him and his family more. So exciting!
I cannot believe that all of this is coming to an end. This week will be the last week of my mission and I am so sad. I could not be more grateful for this experience, for the incredible people I've met and places I've been and opportunities I've been given. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I love His gospel. It is perfect and brings hope and peace into our lives when we live it and allow it to do so.
I love and miss you all! Have such an amazing week!!

We ate at Stuft which is the best burger place. Sister M's milkshake is blocking my burger though.
We were Tracting and found someone who loves giraffes too!
