Happy belated Mother's Day! I hope it was so great for all of you mommas out there! Thank you all for everything you've done and all you do for me. I LOVE YOU!
So this week we got pounded with rain which is a big deal here because they never get rain. The whole town of Wheatland is buzzing about it because it's the biggest thing that's happened since they opened the Maverick. But the rain has made it so the already present smell of manure is about 12 times stronger. I thought it was bad growing up in front of a field of cows... Nope. This is worse.
This week was pretty crazy actually. A lot of the really crazy things that happened I can't actually talk about. But Sister Ligon and I made it through and we are ready to start a new week!
This last week we went on exchanges and I stayed here with the lovely Sister Thompson! She was actually trained in Wheatland and was here for 6 months, so it was fun for her to come back. We had an awesome day and taught 6 lessons which was nuts! She is just so fantastic. I loved getting to be with her and get to know her. We are super similar and have a ton in common so that was fun to get to talk with her. She is also such an incredible missionary. I learned so much from her!!
We had an amazing lesson with Howard this week and he is still doing super great! He came to church yesterday and he loved it. Speaking of yesterday... Well Sister Ligon and I had such a crazy day. We spoke in sacrament meeting, taught Sunday School, and then taught Relief Society. I felt so bad because the ward had to listen to us all day!!! But then we got to talk to our families and it was so great!!!
This week I just wanted to share how much service has blessed my life. Our lesson in Sunday school was all about service, and I realized how truly happy it makes me. When we give our lives to the Savior and try to help others and do what He would do, we experience His love for them. I love getting to spend every day serving my Savior and the people in Wheatland.
I love you all and miss you all! I hope you have an amazing week!
Love, Sister Hooper
