Another fantastic week for us here in Laramie, Wyoming!
So to start off, I've got a hilarious story from last Monday. So we parked our car at the institute building and then walked over to the dorms to meet with Sarah. She had some rough stuff happen that day, I'll talk about the aim a bit, and so we had to get her a new Book of Mormon. We were walking back to our car to grab the book, and I see a figure standing by the drivers door of our car. I'm slightly confused, and then the figure shifts, and then I realize it's not one figure, but two, and they are making out by our car! Well I just died because this is quite possibly the funniest/most awkward thing to happen on my mission. So I dive behind a truck before they see us coming and I am crying I am laughing so hard. But we had to go to our car to get the Book of Mormon, so Sister Meadows was like, "Im going to call the elders and talk really loud so they here us coming!" So she starts calling the elders and I just beep the car by unlocking it so they know we are coming. As soon as I beep the car, we see them split apart really quick and we hear, "Oh look! It's the sisters!" Well at that point I thought i was going to pee my pants because I was laughing so hard. I grabbed the Book of Mormon and had to cover my face to keep from laughing so hard! The greatest part was that as soon as we showed up they started to get into their cars and the girl goes, "So glad I could help you study for your test tomorrow!" Now I was on the ground literally gasping for breath I was laughing so hard. It definitely goes down as the funniest thing to happen on my mission.
So this week for Sarah was a rough one. On Monday, her aunt drove over from Cheyenne, grabbed her Book of Mormon ripped all of the pages that Sarah has marked in it, and then threw it away. That night we went over to give her a new Book, and the next morning, the lady she nannies for came over and threw her Book of Mormon down three flights of stairs. Then she re-dislocated her knee. On Saturday morning, all of her family and friends called her and told her she was a child of the devil and that she is a disappointment to her Heavenly Father and that she is disowned. When she got to the church, the jumpsuit we had for her was gone and there were no other adult suits. So we got her some white pants and the elders ran home and grabbed her a white shirt. And then right before she got into the font, she ran to the bathroom and threw up. THIS POOR GIRL!!!!!! But she is a trooper and told us, "This is the hardest thing I've ever done, but it is so worth it." She amazes me. She got baptized and came out of the water with the biggest smile on her face! She then told us later that night that she wants to serve a mission. It was quite the day!
This week we got hit with a massive snow storm on Wednesday and so we couldn't drive that day. But that's okay because I stinking love no drive days! It is so much fun to go out and walk in the snow to all of our appointments. We were able to see a ton of people and teach a lot of lessons that day.
Our basement also flooded again this morning, so that's been an adventure to sort out! We think it's all solved though so that's good! Our basement is just a humid mess which means I feel right at home!
I miss you all so much and I hope and pray everyone is doing well!!
