I am now in the exciting city of...Cheyenne Wyoming! Creds to Sammy on that one because so far, Cheyenne is anything but exciting. I miss my trees from Arkansas and my mountains from Utah and Idaho! There is NOTHING here, and it makes me feel weirdly claustrophobic. The people are so, so nice though.
My new companion/trainers name is Sister Jenks and she is absolutely amazing. We have become friends so quickly! So we got swept into the area, which means that neither of us have ever been in Cheyenne before. Usually, one of the missionaries in the companionship has been in the area for at least 6 weeks, but neither of us have been here so we are starting from scratch. We don't know anyone or know where anything is. But the Lord is good and answers prayers and helps us figure it out.
Missionary work is hard, but it has also already been the most rewarding experience of my life. I get to go out every day and serve my Savior and let people know that God loves them!! It is also so
humbling to know that, while I am sacrificing 18 months of my life, it is nothing compared to what the Savior has done for me.
The members in this area are so amazing. They are kind and helpful and supportive. They welcomed us right in at church and were so friendly. Yesterday, Sister Jenks and I were asked on the fly to speak in front of the whole congregation and then teach one of the Sunday School classes with no preparation. Again, the Lord answers prayers and He helped us out so much! Hopefully I will learn to love it here. It is just a huge adjustment!!
Oh and shout out to one of my best friends Heather Cummins because she just got her mission call to England!!! So excited for her!!
I love and miss you all!!!
