Hey y'all!! Goodness gracious another week come and gone! Good news... Transfer calls have come and gone and Sister Meadows and I are still together and staying in Laramie! WOOOOOOOO! This next transfer though will be 7 week transfer though since they are changing the MTC time. I am pumped!! Sisters H and M are here to stay in Laradise!
This week was super bomb. I'm trying to remember what happened though.... The weeks all blur together. Let's see, on Wednesday, I gave a training on inspired questions and discerning the needs and concerns of the investigators. I made the missionaries in my district play "Guess which Book of Mormon character", which is a super fun game I made up. So basically I wrote down a bunch of BOM people and handed those names out to the elders and then they had to go around in a circle and try to guess who everyone is by asking questions. It was really fun and I think everyone should play it.
On Thursday we set up a table in the Union (like the MC at BYUI) and we just talked to a bunch of people. It was super fun and really neat to talk to lots of people. Of course we had our fair share of rejection and hard core bible bashers, but that's okay. This one guy Steven just would not leave us alone and told us we were cursed and that we were not of God and that we are hated and stuff. And then he was like "well I really love how you Mormons are always so happy and smiling and stuff. That's so cool." I don't know...
On Friday we went back to the care center and that was so fun. I just love those old folks so much. It was so funny though because they all kept falling asleep during bingo and we had to keep shouting their names to wake them up! They are the cutest!
So super exciting news.... SARAH IS ON DATE FOR BAPTISM!! We were teaching her about the Plan of Salvation and at the end we asked her if she has been reading and praying to know the things we are teaching are true, and she said, "I have been reading and reading. Everything you have taught me feels good and i know it is true." The spirit was so strong and just amazing. I am so excited for her! Right now we have her on date for March 19th, but that is spring break so we might have to move it back so that people can come.
We were teaching a less active this week about faith and I was using Alma 32 to compare faith to a seed, and I said "Sometimes we don't know what our seed of faith is going to turn into. For some it's a flower, for some a tree, and for others, it's a delicious carrot!" I was trying out a new analogy and it didn't work. So that was awkward.
I miss y'all and I hope you're all doing well! Have an amazing week!
