Hey y'all! I hope everyone had such a merry Christmas! I sure did! It was amazing to spend the day with the lovely folks in Wyoming and then to Face Time with my family! Sister J and I got to go and see tons of people and share a message with them. It was definitely one of the best Christmases I have ever had. I loved it because it was focused on Christ and all that He has done for us.
So I don't have a ton of time today, so here are some of the highlights:
On Wednesday we had our Zone Conference in Laramie and it was awesome. I love President and Sister Brown so much! We received a lot of training on how to have a happy Christmas as well as keeping the Sabbath day holy. I love these meetings because I learn so much from all of the missionaries. We had a white elephant gift exchange with everyone and I ended up with a tube of America themed glow sticks. It was such a great day and so good to see a lot of my missionary friends! We also went caroling as a district on Wednesday night and had so much fun going from house to house and singing together and getting ready for Christmas! I love being a missionary!
We spent Christmas morning at Virginia's with Rod and a bunch of their friends. It was such a special Christmas morning! I love them so much and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to know them.
Yesterday we put our investigator Jenna on date to be baptized January 16th! It was so exciting to see her grow and watch her testimony grow as well. She is so amazing and so strong! This week we taught all of our investigators and they are all progressing so well! They are keeping commitments and really working hard to find out the truth for themselves.
Yesterday we taught our Mennonite family, the Wards. They are the sweetest people and have the biggest hearts. We hadn't seen them for a couple of weeks, and when we showed up, they welcomed us in with hugs and asked us about our Christmas and stuff like that. We had a really deep lesson on the Godhead and how families can be together forever. We could probably talk for hours about the gospel. They are just very open with us about everything. They invited us to stay for supper and we are sure glad they did because she is such a good cook. She made this amazing soup in like 20 minutes and I might have eaten like 3 bowls, but it's fine.
We exceeded our goal for lessons this week, which was huge! We haven't done that before and it was awesome to see how the Lord blesses us when we have faith and keep doing what he has asked us to do.
So today was probably the most fun p-day ever. So there is a family in the ward, the Downham's, that got the coolest Christmas presents ever. We were eating dinner at their house last night and they showed us these FIretek bow and arrows that they got. Basically they are Nerf bow and arrows. Anyways, they took us downstairs and showed us the archery course they set up and let us try them out. They were so much fun and we were having a blast with their kids. They told us to come
over and play with them again, so that's what we did. We went over this afternoon and set up a glow in the dark course and battle ground and then had a full on war for like 2 hours. IT WAS AWESOME. I got
shot in the eye twice and now my vision is questionable in the right eye. And then one of the arrows cut the top of my nose, but that's okay because it was so much fun and I got actual battle wounds! So
everyone needs to go out and get those. They will make your life.
I hope you have such a great week! Thank you all for being so awesome and loving! I miss you and love you all!
