Hey y'all!! Hopefully I don't bore y'all with all the details from my week. But good news.... We had a busy, happy, full week. We didn't have a bunch of new investigators or a lot of lessons, but we were happy and had a good time. So on Tuesday I went on exchanges with Sister Aulick! Well I just love her to pieces. She is so fun and sweet and just an incredible missionary! Sister Maxwell trained her and I've been dying to go on exchanges with her so I could get to know her better. We had a good time in Berthoud. We did service at the Habitat Restore and then went to dinner and taught a less active lady in our ward. Then we went to go see some people at the BLC. We saw Frank who is my favorite and just always puts a smile on my face! Like I've mentioned lots of times, I like to tell jokes to the old people, so I asked Frank if he had any good jokes and he goes, "Not any that are appropriate that I could tell you!" Oh Frank. What a guy. On Wednesday, I was back with Sister Maxwell for like 5 minutes, and then I went on exchanges with Sister Bertha who is like my soul sister. Oh my word we have so much fun together. It was just about the funniest exchange of my life. We did service at Goodwill, then went to dinner with a member at Panera #favoritefood (also, are hashtags still a thing?), and then we went to go grab some stuff from their old house that they just moved from. We just laughed and joked all day together. Our common interests include but are not limited to: country music, lots of jewelry, Beyoncé, dancing, and DQ. (Sister M and I also got DQ last Monday. But don't worry momma, my morning exercises are really good and I'm eating lots of vegetables.) Then we stayed up a little too late, like we did on the last exchange we were on together, because we have so much fun together and just talk and talk and talk. It took its toll on us the next morning. Oh and she also introduced me to Which Wich and it changed my life. But they only have it in Longmont so I can't frequent it. On Thursday we exchanged back and Sister M and I went to a district meeting followed by our final song practice for zone meeting. For real though, please pray that we sound good. We need it! Friday was the best because it was the first Friday of the month which means MLC! It was so wonderful!!! We had really awesome discussions on the talk "Repentance: A Joyful Choice" by Elder Rendlund from this last conference. Then the AP's gave this bomb training about doing your very best and it totally pumped us up! One of our AP's did 13 clap push ups as a part of the training and it was super impressive. Sister M and I gave a training and then did a role play in front of the whole MLC which is really stressful. The MLC includes the zone leaders, sister training leaders, President and Sister McMurray, the rest of the missionary presidency and their wives, and the AP's. SO MUCH PRESSURE! But it went well. We role played teaching the plan of salvation and the spirit was so strong! Saturday, Sister M was super sick so we were in all day. I helped Sister Hunt decorate for Christmas and then made us some dinner. It's hard for me just to sit inside all day, I get stir crazy, but Sister M is doing much better and is no longer feeling like death. Sunday was just awesome. I had a wonderful time at church as always! I just feel so happy and close to God. This ward is so amazing and kind to us. I am grateful for the relationships I've developed in this ward and for the people who care for us. So many people have already offered to have us over for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It's going to be such a wonderful holiday season! Some exciting events coming up this week: -Zone Conference -Sister M and I singing a duet in our ward Christmas program -Another exchange -WE ARE MEETING WITH FRAN AGAIN Anyways, if you haven't watched #lighttheworld, go to Mormon.org and DO THE CHALLENGE!!! I love and miss you all! Have such an amazing week! Love, Sister Hooper Exchanges with Sister Bertha❤️ MLC Some Sister M and Hoops selfies from the week Me, wearing a Christmas cone on my head We came home last night and Sister Hunt made us gluten free cereal treats
because sister M is allergic to gluten. They were bomb.
