It's only been like 4 days since I last wrote which is crazy, but I feel like so much has happened. All of the exciting stuff from these last couple of days would be really boring for all of you.... But since this goes on my blog and I want to remember it one day, I'm going to write about it and try to make it as interesting as possible.
So.... Wednesday we went shopping with Sister Mickelsen and Sister Francom and that was a ton of fun! We walked through this super fun antique store and I dressed up in some really lovely vintage clothes. I don't think anyone took a picture, sorry about that. We also went to this really cute store and they had some lipstick that's supposed to stay on for a long time. They had samples so Sister P and I naturally had to try it on. I start putting it on and it burned so bad. I didn't want to say anything though because it would be so awkward if i was allergic to this lipstick so I kept putting more on. It is this really
complicated process to out this lipstick on. You put on one layer and let it dry, then you put on another layer and let it dry, and then you put on a third layer and let it dry. After that it's supposed to stay on until you scrub it off with a make up remover wipe. Well either I have weird lips or this lipstick doesn't work because the last step is this gloss that is supposed to help keep it on and as soon as I put that on, all of the lipstick started to flake off and it looked like my lips were peeling and bleeding. Nasty. So I did my best to scrub it off and cover it up with my own lipstick. For whatever reason Sister P's worked just fine. Rude. But I guess it burned her lips when she put it on too... Maybe it's a sign we shouldn't wear it.
Thursday we worked at the temple open house which was so fun! That night, Sister Thomas and Sister Larsen from up in Casper stayed the night with us so they could work at the open house Friday morning. We had SO MUCH FUN with those sweet sisters!!! I love them so much and I can't wait to be their best friends forever after the mission. We also worked at the temple open house on Friday night and that was a blast!
So our shifts at the open house are usually from 2-9 which means we don't really have time to eat. So we have stocked up on granola bars and that is what we have been eating for our meals! I'm going to be so sick of granola bars after this open house though.
Yesterday we had such a good day at church. Gil came and we had such an awesome lesson with him after church as well. He is so great! This week we went out to lunch with him and had such a blast. We went to IHOP and he made fun of me for getting chocolate chocolate chip pancakes. Oh well.
It has been such a blessing to get to serve at the open house for the temple! I never in a million years would've thought I could do this! I am so grateful for this opportunity and for all of the blessings from
I love you all and miss you so much!! Have a wonderful week!!
