Wow I feel like I just emailed everyone, but it's been a week and a half!! How did that happen?? This week has been so full of so many awesome and exciting things I can't even remember all of them. So the easiest way to make sure I talk about everything is to go day by day.
Monday- Monday was awesome! We took Brittany, Alex and Gil through the Fort Collins Temple. They loved it!!! Alex was so cute because he kept running to the front of the line because he wanted to be first in all of the rooms. Both he and his sister's favorite part were the chandeliers in the temple. They are really pretty so I don't blame them! Gil loved the "forever mirrors" as he calls them, in the sealing
rooms. He thought it was so cool how you can just see on and on for forever in those mirrors. The spirit was so strong in the temple and everyone could feel it. And then the happiest thing ever happened....I SAW HOWARD AND GRADY!!!!! For those of you who are new to these emails or don't remember two of my favorite people, they were up in Wheatland. Basically I couldn't stop smiling because I was so happy to see them. I also saw my friend Josh Layton who I went to BUYI with. He's in the Denver North mission and brought some of his investigators through. We were in the MTC at the same time and saw each other a bunch there so it was a cool reunion.
Tuesday- I think we worked the temple open house and it was so awesome.
Wednesday- I don't remember what happened in the morning, but we went to HNS, which is a place we volunteer, and did service there that afternoon. Oh we had district meeting in the morning and it was awesome! This is why I write in my journal every night. If I didn't I wouldn't remember anything.
Thursday- We worked at the open house again and it was wonderful! So many people are coming to see the temple and it's so fun to get to talk with them and tell them more about the temple!
Friday- That was a very crazy fun day. so that morning we taught Cindy who is the most amazing woman EVER!!! Oh I just love her so much!!! We had like a two hour lesson because she has so many questions and wants to know everything!!! She loves the church and is so excited to be a part of it. She wants her husband to be on board and do this with her, so we are now saying lots of prayers that he will want to learn about the church too! Then we moved! That was crazy because it was pouring
when that happened. We are only going to be living at this house for a transfer and then we will move again. So my address for the next 6 weeks is 3895 Flagler Ave Loveland, CO 80538. After that we went to help out at Loveland's Annual Corn Roast! We spent 2 hours shucking corn. It was FREEZING and raining the whole time. It was so much fun though!!
Saturday- GIL GOT BAPTIZED!!! Oh my word it was such a wonderful day! I have never seen someone so happy. He came out of that water just beaming. He kept commenting about how good he felt! He bore his testimony and said some beautiful things about how his only desire is to follow God, and that by being baptized he knows he is on the right path. Then we went to the temple for another shift. Saturday was a super crazy busy day at the temple. I saw my Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Michael which was fun! They live south of Denver and so the came up and found me in the video room I was working in. They totally surprised me! Then after the shift we got transfer info and found out that sister P and I are staying together! YAY!!!!
Sunday- Gil was confirmed and received the Holy Ghost! It was such a good day. I have never seen that man so happy before. The smile on his face was priceless. After he received the gift of the Holy Ghost, he sat down and said he has never felt so good in his life and how happy he was. It was amazing to see how the gospel of Jesus Christ can change our lives.
Monday- we worked in the temple again! It was really busy and we lots of people came to the open house! After we went over and taught Brittany and Alex and had a fun lesson with them.
Tuesday- we were working the open house all day long which was wonderful! I got to see so many people from my old areas! I saw the Micheli's from Cheyenne and that was such a happy moment to talk with them again! I also saw my uncle Jeff's mother in law who lives in the mission for the first time since him and my aunt got married. That was like 10-11 years ago! Wild.
And then last night we got to have Sister Jenks and Sister Wesley stay with us before they head up to Laramie today! It was so fun to be with them! It was especially good to be with Sister J again! It's been
almost 8 months since we were together. That girl is the best!
I just want to share how amazing temples are! Temples are a sign of Heavenly Fathers love for us and how we are able to go back and be with Him again. There is so much peace, love, and joy that is found in the house of the Lord. It's heaven on earth!
Well I love you all and hope you're doing well! I miss you all and I'll write soon!!!
PS - my p-days are going to be super weird and mixed up the next couple of weeks.
