It's been quite the week here in Loveland! This past week, we had the opportunity to go on exchanges with the sisters serving in Wellington, CO, Sister Lucas and Sister Jacobsen. They are both super awesome and so much fun! I stayed here with Sister Jacobsen and that was cool because she served in this ward a while ago and was able to help me figure out who people were! Such a blessing!
We also had interviews with President McMurray. I just love him so much! He asked me lots of questions about my knee because he wanted to make sure it was still working and stuff. He and Sister McMurray came to our district meeting after and that was so fun to have them there. At the end of the meeting we played hot seat and made Sister McMurray go. She had asked like all of the missionaries who their favorite sibling was, so then we asked her who her favorite child was. She had it coming for her!!
Then we taught Jason and Stephanie this week and brought our Bishop with us! It was a really great lesson with them! We set them for a new baptism date of September 24th, and then get them to set a marriage date. They are planning on getting married somewhere between the 10-15th of September. Sister P and I are going to be their bridesmaid/witnesses because in Colorado all you have to do is have someone witness while you sign your license. You could even have your dog witness if you wanted to!
On Saturday we had a Pioneer Day picnic and it was a ton of fun! Jason and Stephanie came and so did some less actives we have been working with. It was so great to see them there and having a good time!
There is a recently returned mission president and wife in our ward that gave their homecoming talks yesterday. A bunch of missionaries from their mission came to support them. There were soooooooo many RM's it was bizarre. They all kept coming up to us asking us our names, where we were from, how long we had been out, stuff like that. It was really funny because when we walked in they all turned to us and yelled, "Sisters!!!! Hey sisters!" I felt so welcomed. It was weird to think that in not that long, I am going to be a returned missionary! Ahhh scary thought!!!
Also, Sister P is wonderful. We are becoming better and better friends every day. We have discovered that we are basically the same person and it's fantastic. I love this girl so much!!!
I hope you all are doing so good! I know the gospel is true! I have seen it work in and change my life and the lives of those around me. I know that if we turn to Christ, He will take us and make us better than we ever could imagine! I love you all so much!!
Love, Sister Hooper
