It has been such a crazy week here in Loveland!!! First off, I want to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! That was so sweet of everyone! My Spanish is coming along... And by that I mean I still have no clue what's happening, but I am trying!
This week, we had our first two exchanges of the transfer! So am exchange is when we switch companions for a day. Since Hermana Tanner and I are STL's, we exchange with each of the 5 sets of sisters we are over once a transfer. This week I got to go down to Berthoud, CO with Sister Kimball and then I went to Fort Collins with Sister Hoffman. I love these two sisters soooo much! They are so awesome!
So I was super excited to go to Berthoud because my trainer, Sister Jenks, served there for the first 6 months of her mission. So I got to go and see what it was like and meet some of the people she told me about! It was so much fun! Tuesday night, we were running from appointment to appointment and it was just so nuts! Sister Kimball and I had a blast together. She is just so much fun and such a hard worker and an amazing missionary! I learned so much from her on this exchange! Then I spent my birthday with sister kimball in Berthoud as well and it was so fun. To be honest... I kind of forgot it was my birthday and I was totally fine with it. I spent the whole day doing missionary work and just focusing on others. I really couldn't think of a better way to spend my birthday.
Then on Thursday I was up in Fort Collins with Sister Hoffman. She is also so fun and we just couldn't stop laughing the whole time. It was like 95-96 degrees on Thursday and we spent the whole day tracting, which means we were walking from house to house, seeing if people would be interested in learning more. Basically we were so hot and sweaty and thought we were going to die. But we survived! We tracted the whole morning on Friday as well. Seriously exhausting! But we ate at this amazing restaurant called Tom + Chee where they specialize in grilled cheese sandwiches. Oh it was heaven. And they make dessert ones on donuts! So of course I got one and it was s'more flavored! Best thing of my life!!!
This week we had a zone meeting and Hermnana T and I were asked to give a training at zone meeting. It went pretty good we think! It was all about the Fort Collins Temple that is being built here and how we can teach people about the temple!
Yesterday church was crazy! Jason and Stephanie came to church so that was so amazing! A less active sister also came back to church and brought her grandson, Derek, with her. So Derek has never been to church, he's 2, and was pretty rowdy. But he basically attached himself to me and started calling me mom and climbing all over me. When that happened I had to keep putting him back in his seat because missionaries can't hold kids. I know it breaks my heart too. I was asked to give the closing prayer in sacrament meeting, so when I got up to say the prayer, Derek ran up after me and started screaming and crying when I got too far away from him. So now I am a mother. Future husband, if you're reading this, hope you're okay with that! Lol. Just kidding. Sort of.
Anyways.... I hope you all had an amazing week! I am loving it here in Loveland!!! Remember to always say your prayers and read the word of God! That will bless your life soooo much! I miss and love you all!!!
