Hola amigos! Well first week done here is Loveland, CO! My new companion is Hermana Tanner and she is AMAZING! Like holy cow I could not have asked for a better companion. We just get along so great. I swear we are pretty much the same person. Being a missionary is so fun with her and I am so grateful that the Lord and President Brown put us together!! The sad thing is that she goes home at the end of this transfer and so I won't get to be her comp anymore after this!! But I am grateful we get to be together for this transfer!
So here is what is happening with me. I am now serving as a Sister Training Leader which means Hermana Tanner and I are over a group of 5 sisters and we go on exchanges with them and just try to help them with their missionary work the best we can. I am also now learning Spanish because I have been put in a Spanish and English area and I don't know how long I will be here for! Hermana T speaks Spanish so she will help me and teach me!
These last two weeks have been the longest weeks of my whole mission I think.... But not in a bad way. Just so much happened that it got really crazy! I was so sad to leave Wheatland. I loved it up there soooooo much. I met some incredible people who just welcomed me and loved me into the ward. I am going to miss them so much!! And I miss Sister L like crazy. I am very jealous she gets to stay!
But Loveland has really been amazing so far. We got a bunch of new investigators this week and taught this awesome couple, Jason and Stephanie. The first night we met them we totally hit it off! They are so fun and we get along super great. We are hopefully gonna get them married and baptized because they know this Gospel is true! The Lord will provide a way!
It's also been amazing getting to go to lessons in Spanish. I have such a strong love for the Hispanic people here. They are so kind and understanding of my lack of Spanish and try their hardest to speak English to me! I am so ready to learn the language and be able to communicate with them! I understand what they are saying for the most part, but I have no clue what to say back or how to say it! The Lord will help me though and I will get it in no time!
So I just want to make everyone jealous because last night a Hispanic family here had is over for dinner and made us carne asada and tortillas and it was amazing and I absolutely stuffed myself. So you can all be jealous of the amazing food I am eating.
This week we went to Mission Leadership Council (MLC's) which is where all of the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders get together to figure out how we can best help the mission. It was amazing and so spiritual. It was the coolest experience to be in a room with such incredible missionaries. I learned so much for them and they just are the greatest example to me. It was my first and last MLC with President and Sister Brown because our new President, President and Sister McMurray, will be coming into the mission at the beginning of next month. I am so sad that President and Sister Brown are leaving. They are just so incredible and I am grateful for all they have done for me.
I am the happiest right now that I have been my whole mission. I just feel so close to the Lord and know that He has everything in His hands. I know that the Lord knows exactly what He is doing not only in my life, but I'm everyone's lives. When we give our lives over to Him, He can make so much more out of them than we ever could.
I love you all and miss you so much! Thank you for all of the love and support! Have and amazing week!
Love, Hermana Hooper
